The new designers of Lanka Institute of Fashion Technology (LIFT) and Mod’Art International – Sri Lanka branch, showcased the preview of their graduation collection at the mega event Beaujolais Nouveau. This year the fashion show took place on November 26th at the Waters Edge hotel open lawn. LIFT and Mod’Art Preview 2016 was not just an ordinary show but a show where memories will last for a long period of time, where fashion relationships will bond together and moreover. The fashion show was filled with striking designs and full of amazements. 30 fashion designers participated in this massive event to display their collections. This show had four segments Semi casual, winter wear, men’s wear and evening wear including a fashion revolutionary rally. Everyone was waiting till the next set of collection was shown on ramp. Designers presented their themes that captures the center of attention of an audience full of excitement. These designers introduced the idea of storytelling through their collections which have been inspired by distinct and intricate themes. This was a great platform and an opportunity to all the student designers as they step into their career and they have made a strong statement with their unique designs at this show.

The event gave an experience to all guests who arrived at the venue, from the entrance to feel an exclusive fashion sensation at a specially created photo booth by the Waters Edge assisted by LIFT and Mod’Art designers. Junior designers displayed their designer accessory pieces which were inspired by Paris at the entrance of the event. Their accessories were a hit at the photo booth, most of the guests wore their accessories and posed to take a picture of this unforgettable night.

The preview was partnered with Brian Kerkoven models and MOSH creating a glam look with their expertise in hair and makeup for all the collections.
