Crocs down the catwalk – CHRISTOPHER KANE S/S 17
On Monday afternoon, Christopher Kane accessorized his spring/summer 2017 collection with fashion’s least likely ‘it’ shoe Crocs. Almost every model was sent down the catwalk in a pair of the rubber sandals, which were all embellished with gemstones. This marks an official collaboration between the two brands and it has since been confirmed that consumers will be able to buy the footwear when the collection hits stores next spring.

Charlotte Olympia Spring Summer 2017 Collection is titled, Let’s Go Bananas. Inspired by “the lady in the tutti frutti hat” Carmen Miranda, the famous Luso-Brazilian Samba singer. The collection celebrates Brazilian superstar and bombshell, who was popular from the 1930s to the 1950s, with delicious color palette and a feast of tropical fruits and flowers. This collection makes you want to head to the beach and dance the night away with your toes in the sand.

The designer drew coats, dresses, swimsuits and bags from the math class and gave it all an artistic spin. Everything especially coats with rounded shoulders started with a circle that might move fluidly into a straight line. And to match that technique, the designer invented another “mathematical equation”, as bags, shoes and decorations on a dress were all made in geometric shapes in leather.
